Born in Dortmund, Germany, Ute’s launchpad into fine art

was the impressive position she held as Creative Director

of top tier advertising agencies in Germany

Breaking out as a professional painter in ’98 Ute founded

her own studio which she later relocated to the exclusive

island of Sylt. Sylt seasonally receives over 400,000 visitors

including high profile politicians and celebrities, many of

whom have now become avid collectors of Ute‘s work

She chooses steel over canvas as she enjoys the feel of

connecting to the substrate as she uses her pastels

The popularity of Ute’s iconic imagery earns her multiple

exhibitions each year and she is represented by no less

than 25 galleries throughout Germany

Appropriately for the international flavor of her pieces,

she has had prominent exhibits in landmark institutions in

Cologne, Frankfurt, Strasbourg, and Stateside the Times

Square Building in New York

Ute is an esteemed member of  ‘Artists for Dalai Lama’.
